Applications are invited from Indian citizens both male and female, who have passed their final MBBS examination in first or second attempt and completed internship for grant of Short Service Commission in the Army Medical Corps :

• Vacancies : 400 posts
• Pay Band : PB-3 Rs. 17160 - 39100 + Grade pay Rs. 6100 + Military Service Pay (MSP) Rs. 6000 + NPA @25% of Basic + Grade Pay + MSP and other
• Age : must not have attained 45 years of age on 31st Dec 2015.
• Eligibility:
•  The applicant must be a Citizen of India.
• Must possess a medical qualification included in the 1st Schedule or the 2nd Schedule or Part II of the 3rd Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and as amended.
• Must be in possession of Permanent Registration Certificate issued by State Medical Council/MCI.
• Must have passed MBBS final examinations Part I & II in not more than two attempts.
• Must have completed the Internship before the last date of submission of application.
• Post graduate degree/diploma holders i.e. MD/MS/MCH/DM/DNB/DLO/DOMS/DA may also apply.
• Ex AMC Candidates.
• The released AMC/SSC officers will be eligible for grant of fresh tenure of Short Service Commission provided such officers apply within one year of the date of their release.
• The released AMC/SSC officers who have acquired PG degree may also apply for fresh tenure.
• The selection of such officers for grant of fresh tenure of Short Service Commission in Army Medical Corps will be made by the selection board No. 5 given in Govt of India, Ministry of Defence letter No. 301/DGAFMS/DG-1X/87-S/D(Med) dated 08th Feb 88, as amended from time to time.
• Candidates released on resignation/pre-mature retirement from AFMS will not be eligible for re-commission in AMC.

TENURE OF ENGAGEMENT : (a) FOR FRESH CANDIDATES : The tenure of SSC officers is of 05 years, extendable by another 09 years in two spells first of 05 years and second of 04 years, for those who are willing to continue, subject to availability of vacancies and meeting the laid down eligibility criteria for grant of extension as per extant policy. (b) FOR EX-AMC CANDIDATES : (i) Candidates released from AMC service on expiry of initial contractual period of five years will only be considered for grant of commission in AMC for second tenure. (ii) Candidates released after expiry of 10 years of SSC service will not be considered for grant of commission in AMC for second spell of four years of extendable tenure
