The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is India’s central agency authorised to conduct the Civil Services Examination, Engineering Services Examination, Combined Defence Services Examination, National Defence Academy Examination, Naval Academy Examination, Combined Medical Services Examination, Special Class Railway Apprentice, Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination, Geologists’ Examination, and Central Armed Police Forces(Assistant Commandant) Examination.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released notification to conduct National Defence Academy & Naval Academy (I) Examination 2016 for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 137th Course and for the 99th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 02-01-2017. Eligible unmarried male candidates may apply online from 02/01/2016 to 29/01/2016 by 11:59 PM.

UPSC NDA & NA Exams 2016

Conditions of Eligibility

(A) Age Limits : Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than  02nd  July, 1997  and not
later than 1st July, 2000 are eligible.

    (B) Educational Qualifications:
    1. For  Army  Wing  of  National  Defence  Academy :  12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University. 
    2. For  Air  Force  and  Naval  Wings  of  National  Defence  Academy  and  for the  10+2  Cadet  Entry  Scheme  at  the  Indian  Naval  Academy : 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or  a University. 
    3. Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of  School  Education  or  equivalent  examination  can  also   apply  for  this examination. 
    (C) Physical Standards: candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for admission to combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) (I), 2016 as prescribed in the detailed advertisement.

    Application Fee : Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 100/- either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/ State Bank of Hyderabad/ State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala/ State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit Card.

    Instructions for Applying Online:
    1. Before applying online candidates should scan the copies of photograph and signature.
    2. Log on to the website www.upsconline.nic.in.
    3. Click on “Online Application for Various Examinations of UPSC”.
    4. Select the desired post & fill the Part I Online Application form by selecting the link.
    5. Fill all the mandatory details and Submit.
    6. After successful submission, an unique Registration ID will be generated, note it.
    7. Make the fee payment and revisit the website.
    8. Select Part II Registration and Log in yourself.
    9. Fill all the mandatory details in Part II of Application.
    10. After submitting the application form, take print out of system generated application form for further reference.

    ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE RESULTS OF THE WRITTEN EXAMINATION, INTERVIEW OF QUALIFIED CANDIDATES, ANNOUNCEMENT OF FINAL RESULTS AND ADMISSION TO THE TRAINING COURSES OF THE FINALLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES :
    The Union Public Service Commission shall prepare a list of candidates who obtain the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination as fixed by the Commission at their discretion. Such candidates shall appear before a Services Selection Board for Intelligence and Personality Test where candidates for the Army/Navy wings of the NDA and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme of Indian Naval Academy will be assessed on Officers Potentiality and those for the Air Force in Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS) and Pilot Aptitude Test (which forms the whole PAB Test) and for Officers Potentiality. PABT applicable to candidates with Air Force as First choice would also be conducted for all SSB qualified candidates with one of the choice as Air Force subject to their eligibility and if they are so willing.

    NDA Admit Card 2016

    UPSC will be releasing the NDA (I) Admit Card 2016 3 weeks before the commencement of examination. The candidates can download the same by visiting the official website of UPSC for that matter. A direct link for the same will be hosted and here and candidates can click on that link to download their NDA & NA (I) Admit Card.
    Following instructions will help the candidates download their Admit card efficiently:

    • Access the official website of UPSC
    • Click on the link for the Admit card
    • Give the information like the Application ID number and date of birth
    • The Admit card will get downloaded
    • Print the Admit card and take it to the exam center.

    NDA Answer Key 2016

    Once the examination gets over for the both sessions, the candidates will be able to view the Answer for their respective question papers. The candidates will be able to view the answer keys of various coaching centers once the exam gets over. The official Answer key will be released by the UPSC after one to two weeks and can be viewed for both the papers only by visiting the official website of UPSC.

    NDA Result 2016

    UPSC will be declaring the NDA result 2016 by September 2016. The candidates will have to visit the official website of UPSC or through the direct link hosted in this page. Following instructions need to be followed by the candidates to see their result:
    • Visit the official website
    • Click on the link of the Result Tab
    • Furnish the information like Application form Number and Password or Date of Birth as asked there.
    • The result will get downloaded in a PDF format, download the search for your roll number.
