ITBP Recruitment 2016 – Assistant Surgeon Posts: Indo – Tibetian Border Police Force (ITBP), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has announced notification for the recruitment of Assistant Surgeon (Assistant Commandant/ Veterinary) vacancies. Eligible candidates may apply online from 01/02/2016 at 00:01 AM to 22/02/2016 upto 11:59 PM & who have applying through offline they have to send on or before 22/02/2016 & For Remote Areas on or before 29/02/2016. Other information like age limit, educational qualification, selection process, exam fee & how to apply are given below.
Physical Standards:
Selection Process: Physical Verification of Documentation, Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Biometric Identification, Interview (Personality Test), Merit List and Detailed Medical Examination.
Application Fee: Candidates have to pay Rs.200/- in the form of Demand Draft (DD) OR Indian Postal Orders (IPO)” only. DD or IPO should be drawn in the name of DDO, Dte.Gen. ITB Police Force, New Delhi.
How to Apply: Eligible Candidates are advised to fill the Online Application Form from 01/02/2016 at 00:01 AM to 22/02/2016 up to 11:59 PM. If Candidates apply Offline, The application, either type written or neatly hand written in blue ink/ball pen, on one side only on full size plain paper with self attested passport size photographs affixed on application should be sent along with application fee, and enclosures as prescribed to THE COMMANDANT (RECRUITMENT), DIRECTORATE GENERAL, INDO-TIBETAN BORDER POLICE FORCE, BLOCK-2, C.G.O. COMPLEX, LODI ROAD, NEW DELHI-110003 on or before 22/02/2016 (For all States except for Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu & Kashmir State, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, the Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep for which last date is 29/02/2016. The envelope containing application shall be superscribed in bold letters "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT SURGEON (ASSISTANT COMMANDANT/VETERINARY) IN ITBP".

Eligibility Criteria for ITBP
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry from a recognized University.
- Registration with the Veterinary Council of India.
Physical Standards:
- Minimum Height : 157.5 cms (Male) / 142 cms (Female)
- Minimum Chest : For Male - Unexpanded - 77 cms, Expanded - 82 cms (with 5 cm minimum expansion); For Female - Well Developed.
- Weight : Weight should be proportionate to height & age. Weight shall not be the criteria for rejection at the time of PST. However, it will again be measured at the time of DME and should be as per prescribed standards.
